Voice Conference Manager for ProphecyVoice Conference Manager (VCM) provides sample code for a fairly complex CCMXL/VoiceXML/SRGS application on the Prophecy plaform. It's a branch of the regular Voice Conference Manager and is available for download from Sourceforge either as a package or through Subversion. Voice Conference Manager allows an "attendant" to dial into the application and say the names of people who should be on the call. After the attendant hangs up, the platform dials out to those individuals and places them in a conference. The Prophecy branch of VCM takes into account VCM's build-in PHP server to create grammars on the fly from each attendant's individual "contacts" list, which is in Voxoe's preferred XML format. PHP is also used to create specific versions of CCXML pages. While the original Voice Conference Manager runs on Voxeo's servers and has no significant limitations on the number of simultaneous CCXML instances, the P2006 branch recognizes the two-instance limit and uses some interesting tricks to keep the number of CCXML sessions to the bare minimum. For example, each leg of the call has its own individual CCXML instance, which makes for simplicity, but each of these CCXML instances creates the next instance at startup — and avoids the need for a "master" CCXML instance. The current release includes the ability to view the progress of the conference call from a web page by using the "push2web" Java servlet, also avaialable from the same source. Push2web demonstrates how to integrate sophisticated services into the P2006 platform. To install, download the push2web and vcm-prophecy packages and follow each package's installation instructions.
